PORTFOLIO

Art department graphics Assistant

Currently utilising my graphics and creativity skills to work within the television and film industry in the art department.

I have been lucky to work on a variety of projects ranging from children’s tv, HETV to film. Within my first role I was promoted to graphic designer and have worked as graphics assistant on a variety of different subjects and eras.

World Trades Publishing

Senior graphic design work for a multi-platform publishing company. Daily responsibilities included designing print layouts for three industry-specific business-to-business magazines. There was also an element to external graphics work for private clients.

WTP is a long-established global B2B publishing house producing magazines and news portals for international trade industries: World Leather, World Footwear, WSA, and Inside Denim.

wirralbiz

The wirralbiz business start-up programme helped create new businesses on Wirral.  A client’s corporate identity was established at the in-house design studio to create relevant marketing materials from initial branding to final products, such as leaflets, signage, van livery, basic websites and stationery.

Primary 4

A reprographics house situated in Wirral, offered full print and design services, working with multi-national companies and local businesses alike. Commissioned by WD-40 in the ’00s to create back-of-can illustrations to coincide with a marketing campaign featuring ‘Handy’ Andy from televisions’ ‘Changing Rooms’, was a challenge and a privilege.

Personal project

During the pandemic, I set myself an Illustrator challenge to design Valentine’s cards based on themes and scenes from BBC America’s Killing Eve television series, prior to the start of season three.

I designed a set of 12, finding a visually similar font to the show font, titles and colours originally designed by Matt Willey. Then illustrated themes and visual clues from the show, be it a murder weapon or a general prop which then corresponded to a headline regarding this item.
